Never saw the In the Mood and Finding my Way vids...Neil was a maniac.

Man, live music on TV...who sez the 70's were so bad. They need to release the DKRC's on DVD and the Midnight Special, and even that cheesy show on ABC that always seemed to have Quiet Riot on, In Concert.

I agree. The 70's were NOT bad at all. WAY better'n a lot a cr*p that's carried over nowadays. Raw, unpackaged, unsnotty, experimentative, & unconvoluted. And some of these factors extended over partly into some of the 80s...too bad that aspect of it didn't stay that way for long... [img]frown.gif[/img] [img]wink.gif[/img]

agree 100% . i beleive all the planets aligned for that band from songwriting, playing, (geddy's voice) and just overall studio tones, recording quality what not. on 'permanent waves' they were peaking, 'moving pictures' WAS the peak, and 'signals' just over the peak heading downward to a slow decsent....jmho
there's plenty of pick and choose stuff throughout their other records i liked. but not front to back like those records.

I personally think they hit their 'technical and creative' peak with 'Hemispheres'. 'A Farewell To Kings', 'Hemispheres' and 'Permanent Waves' are my favorites. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Steve, there is a DVD floating around DD from the Signals tour in montreal. The quality is C but the solo is there.

I spent a couple hours with virtualdub trying to cap just the solo but I wasn't making much headway. i need to find more time to do that.

there are also in studio videos from Moving Pictures that I picked up a lon gtime ago, vital signs and tom sawyer, I think...cool stuff.
